Thanks to the incredible generosity of the charity Glasgow the Caring City and its Soap Aid project, run in conjunction with Soapworks Ltd, we have received a major donation of 143,000 bars of quality soap. This will make a real and immediate difference to the people we support in Ukraine, where basic hygiene items remain in constant demand.

“It’s easy to forget that a war is raging just on the other side of Europe,” says Ross Galbraith of Glasgow the Caring City. “It’s only a few hours by plane to the Ukrainian border, closer than many of our summer holiday destinations. This isn’t about inciting fear; it’s about recognising these are our near neighbours. As fair-minded communities, we must stand by them in their time of crisis.”

NFFU is deeply grateful for this support. It strengthens our ability to respond at scale and ensures that many families will receive essential supplies in the months ahead.

Our regular “Soup and Soap” collections remain as important as ever. The needs on the ground continue to grow, it is the ongoing generosity of our community that keeps our shipments moving week after week.

Every tin of food, every hygiene item, and every donation from local families plays a vital role. So please keep donating, keep spreading the word, keep 'Delivering a Future of Hope' together.

New Forest for Ukraine is proud to be part of global health and welfare initiative in collaboration with Ross Galbraith Chief Operations Officer at Glasgow the Caring City and the team Soapworks Ltd Team
